Since 1955 the Boys & Girls Club has had a home in Martinez, CA . Originally incorporated as the Boys Club of Martinez, the Club was renamed the Boys & Girls Club of Martinez in 1986 and added a chartered club unit in Rodeo in 1988. In June 2002, the organization adopted its new name of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley . The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley  currently reaches over 1,000 youth aged 6-18 through its various programs.

Membership Information: Did you know for an annual membership of $24 your child aged 6-18 can enjoy all of the Club benefits twelve months of the year? This includes the summer months and in-school session days. Click our Program & Services page for more information and to download a Membership Application.

A Note From Our Chief Professional Officer: Looking toward the New Year, it is full of promise, opportunities, as well as challenges.  Our youth need us more than ever. Strain on family continues as our community experiences a high level of unemployment. Many ‘hidden’ kids go without adequate shelter and nourishment. Vices such as alcohol, prescription drug abuse, and marijuana use continually vie for many of our young people’s attention. Much of this occurs during the after school hours and weekends. This happens because there is a lack of supervision during these hours, mainly due to parents working. The Boys & Girls Club is here to fill the gap of after school hours. Parents can have peace of mind knowing that their child is in a safe and positive place while they are at work or out running errands. While at the Club, children receive guidance, direction, and mentoring. An essential part of our after school program is Power Hour. During Power Hour, members have the opportunity to complete homework, receive educational support, and participate in structured programs. Participation in Power Hour improves school attendance, academic scores, and self esteem. Share the promise of a Great Future! Join the Club!
